Privacy Options for Pads

Previously, anyone with the link to your pad could see your code and make changes. But maybe you want to give access for a limited time or only want them to watch and not make any changes.

So we have added the following privacy options to give you that control over your pads:

Public

This is the default. Anyone with the link to your pad can see and make changes to it. You would want to enable this during the interview session with the candidate so they can write code.

Read-only

When you want to share code with someone but don’t want them to make changes. Ideal for classroom-like environments or for sharing code snippets.

Private

After you are done with your interview you probably don’t want to candidate to be able to access the pad. Setting the pad to private makes it only accessible by you and your team.

Please note that:

• These settings only affect the participants accessing via the link. All your teammates will still have complete access to all the pads.
• Privacy settings are only available to logged-in users.
